Bratz Games Still Coming

A while back. MGA, the manufacturer of the Bratz games lost a lawuit to Mattel over who owns the dolls. The courts have said that Mattel owns the Bratz lines and that MGA must pay a hefty fine for making them - $100 million. Of course Mattel protested and is appeals currently to have the fine reduced, but in the meantime the company is still making Bratz dolls.

There will be new dolls for 2010 despite the legal drama. Those of us who have kept at least a bit of attention focused on the drama that has been unfolding are interested to see what will happen next. MGA plans to unveil a new line of Bratz dolls for customers, but the courts have already said that the profits and dolls belong to Mattel.

So in essence, MGA is giving the girls what they want – new dolls fro their favorite Bratz games, but at the same time they are making money for their chief competitors. The drama is still unfolding of course, but in the meantime the rest of us can enjoy our Bratz games for as long as they continue to manufacturer them for us.
