Bratz Games for a New Generation

It’s startlingly to consider how quickly girls grow up and move on into new areas of play. For the Bratz dolls, they have successfully survived their first generation of girls and are moving quickly into the next generation of elementary aged girls ready to play with urban fashion dolls.

When the Bratz games first came on the scene, they were considered highly risque and a bit too blatant in their style of dress and fashion sense. Original critics notwithstanding, the Bratz games quickly became hugely popular with girls looking for something a bit beyond the saccharine sweetness of Barbie and her friends.

Now that the first batch of young girls to play with Bratz dolls have grown up and moved on into new things like crushes and texting, there are plenty of new youngsters ready to move up and take their place. All that is necessary, of course, is a love of fashion and sense of fun as well.

Bratz Games and Women

Why do we always assume that only young girls enjoy playing Bratz games? Pre-teens are certainly not the only people out there who are interested in fashion, and playing Bratz games is an excellent opportunity for everyone - regardless of age - to enjoy the urban, trendy styles that Bratz games bring to toys and the online games.

Online Bratz games in particularly are easy to play and a nice way to explore some fashion styles you might not have considered previously. The online Bratz games are simple enough. To play the games, you have to simply pick out clothing and drag it onto the bodies of the Bratz dolls that are there waiting to be dressed. You get to design the outfit that your Bratz doll is going to wear, and as you prepare the clothing styles you can simply visualize how that particular outfit would look on you and how you could change up a youthful style to define your more mature style.

Bratz Game and Back to School

Now that we’re heading back to school it’s easy to appreciate your favorite characters that much more. Bratz games used to show up on lunch boxes, backpacks and binders for back to school time, although they  seem to be just a bit harder to find these days. Bratz games were immensely popular and they have stood some ground during the hard years that followed the initial lawsuit by Mattel.

Sadly, however, even the strongest toy goes through periods of downs and ups. At the moment, Bratz are in something of a slump. It’s only natural that the Bratz games would be on a down cycle with so many years spent in lawsuits. The dolls have been pulled from the shelves, put back again and almost changed hands. So now there are plenty of others moving in to take up some of that shelf room. But it’s likely that Bratz games will be back in full force soon enough.

Bratz Games: The Virtual World of Bratz

Bratz games may not be flying off the shelves much anymore – mainly because they aren’t on the shelves much anymore – but these fashion divas are still very much in demand and hugely popular with young girls. But if you can’t find Bratz games on the store shelves, where are young girls getting their fix of doe-eyed, urban beauties? The answer is simple enough – they are finding a bit of fashion fun on their handheld game players and online.

Bratz games are a huge sensation online. The games featuring what amounts to a paper doll series of Bratz dolls are ideal for playing dress up games on the computer. No fuss, no muss and not expensive since the games are totally free most of the time. Of course, there is another option for those seeking to play Bratz games. The Nintendo DS games are popular with young girls as well. With a new game coming out in time for Christmas, those looking for their fix of Bratz will simply have to get it courtesy of Nintendo.

The Future of Bratz Games?

Of the many different fashion games available for girls, Bratz games have had the most ups and downs. The Bratz games that came on the scene a decade ago have had a rough lifetime. When they first emerged into the fashion doll world, Bratz dolls were snapped up by girls tired of Barbies and babies. They wanted something that looked to be a bit more real - and Bratz games delivered.

But then things started to get a bit sticky for the Bratz games. They were cutting into Barbie's market share considerably and Mattel, the maker of Barbies, sued. Through the next few years, the legal battles raged between the two companies. At first Mattel appeared to be the victor, but then the tides shifted on an appeal and Bratz games came out ahead. Unfortunately, by this point the fashion doll market had moved on a bit and Bratz dolls are hard to find in many major stores. Will they have any future at all?

Bratz Games and Competition

If there was ever a fashion doll ready for some serious competition, the Bratz dolls have this one in the bag. Not all toys are designed for fashion wars, retail battles and all out warfare in the courtrooms, but it seems Bratz dolls have waged all of those battles and still stand – even if they aren’t actually the winners in every one of the fights.

Bratz games have been assaulted by competition from the first day that they appear on store shelves. First, the fashions that the Bratz dolls sported encouraged the makers of Barbie games to up the ante a bit. They wanted to compete on the urban looks, and Barbie was more than willing to oblige. Even so, Bratz dolls were still best known for their hot, urban looks. Then, the makers of Barbie games took the Bratz games to court and the competition definitely heated up.

Years later it’s still hard to say who won that particular battle and who wound up the loser, but one thing is certain. You can still find Bratz games online and on the shelf, proving it takes more than some fights to knock those dolls of the top.

The Basics of Bratz Games

Bratz games are a simple extension of the Bratz dolls that girls love to play with. You’ll find the dolls on the fashion doll aisle in any toy store or section, and the Bratz dolls are unique in their sultry appeal. In fact, when the Bratz games first appeared in the toy stores, some parents had a small freak out fit because they appeared a bit too sexy for little girls to play with.

Other parents embraced the dolls, however, as they actually reflect current fashion and styles. Where Barbie gets a pink convertible that no real life girl will likely ever drive, the Bratz games are rolling around in a black SUV. That’s a bit more like it for the rest of us. The Bratz dolls became famous almost overnight not just because they were so attractive, but because they were so popular as well. Little girls loved them and suddenly you found Bratz games everywhere – and you still can play Bratz games today online or off.
