Bratz Games Have Mellowed

Remember when the Bratz games first came out? They were shocking and almost risqué. There was a public lash out against the dolls for being too promiscuous and dressing in a way that wasn’t considered appropriate for young girls.. Interestingly enough, at the same time everyone was lashing out against the Bratz dolls, they were gaining in popularity. You didn’t hear a great deal of support for the dolls in the traditional sense.

There weren’t web pages, blogs and articles telling us all why it’s important that fashion dolls have young looking faces and big doe-like eyes. There was a more subtle movement toward the fashion dolls. In short, rather than talk about it – people did something about it. They actually went into the stores and bought the dolls. No more talk, a whole lot of action. In fact, the number of people who bought the Bratz games was so high, it set them on almost equal footing with Barbie games. This of course caused problems and the lawsuits began.
