Bratz Games: Looking Forward

I wonder if the inventor of Barbie dolls knew that fifty years later she would be responsible for one of the most iconic fashion dolls in the world. Likewise, I think Bratz games are going to have a place in history as we look forward. Already they are known not just for fashion and style, but as the fashion doll that took on Barbie and won. Of course, that was on the toy store shelves – not in the court room where an entirely different version of events went down.

Bratz games includes a greater range of heritages and the naturalness of the dolls in their urban styles appeals to more girls than the clean cut Barbie image. Life is what it is, and the girls who enjoy the Bratz dolls seem to really understand that a bit better than the makers of Barbie games. I think the lawsuit along is worthy of some press time down the road, but I think the Bratz dolls will be best known as the first fashion doll to actually break a mold and appeal to a wide range of girls – not the blue-eyed, blond hair types.
